Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme
To generate employment opportunities in rural as well as urban areas of the country through setting up of new self-employment ventures, Government of India has approved the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP). The scheme provides financial support to economically viable manufacturing service activities.
Eligibility Condition
No Qualification and age limit for Project Cost upto 5.00 Lakhs for service enterprises and 10.00 Lakhs for Manufacturing enterprises.
Minimum qualification 8th Pass and no Age limit for projects above 5.00 Lakhs for service activity and 10.00 Lakhs for Manufacturing activities.
Procedure to obtain the benefit/Service
Under the scheme, loans up to Rs.25 lakh would be given for manufacturing sector, up to Rs.10 lakh for service sector through all nationalized banks and private sector banks. 25% on Project Cost on Urban Area and 35% on Project Cost on Rural Area.
