SCHEME: LOAN FOR SELF EMPLOYMENT BY DISTRICT CO-OPERATIVE BANKS THROUGH NATIONAL HANDICAPPED FINANCE DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (NHFDC)
ELIGIBILITY: Should not have received loans from any other banks. Age should not be less than 18 and no limit for maximum age. Parents of mentally retarded persons above 14 are eligible for the loan.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: Application, Photocopy of Identity card for disabled persons, Passport size photo, Aadhar card photocopy, ration card photocopy, certificate from village administrative officer stating that the person has not received benefits from other departments, linked savings banked account, ration card photocopy. Cooperative societies’ membership certificate.
BENEFITS UNDER THIS SCHEME: Loan application from Central Cooperative banks operating in that district or cooperative societies nearby or urban cooperative banks should be submitted. Should produce 1 guarantor for loans till Rs.25000. Should produce 2 guarantors for loans till Rs.50000. Should provide applicant’s property as a guarantee for loan amounts beyond Rs.50000. Loan shall be disbursed at 4% interest. For non-defaulting repayers, the government shall subsidize the interest rate. |

Accident Relief Fund:
- In case of Accident, loss of Limbs regarding up to Rs.2,00,000/- Relief Fund will be issued.

Funeral Expenses
In the event of the death of a differently abled person, an amount of ₹5,000/- shall be provided to the legal heir(s) towards funeral expenses. (With effect from 01.04.2025)
Natural Death
In the event of the natural death of a differently abled person, an amount of ₹25,000/- shall be provided to the legal heir(s). (With effect from 01.04.2025)

• Copy of the Mark Statement of the Previous Academic Year duly attested
• Certificate stating that no Government scholarship/assistance for this scheme has been received from any other Department (No Objection Certificate – NOC)

Scheme: Marriage Financial Assistance
Financial assistance of ₹5,000/- shall be provided towards marriage expenses for differently abled persons son or daughter.
Eligibility
The children of differently abled persons who possess possess a valid National Identity Card for Differently Abled Persons (UDID) must have attained the minimum age prescribed under law for marriage.

Scheme: Assistance for Maternity / Miscarriage / Medical Termination of Pregnancy for Differently Abled Women
1. A maternity assistance of ₹6,000/- is provided to differently abled women for childbirth.
2. An amount of ₹3,000/- is provided to differently abled women for miscarriage or medical termination of pregnancy.
3. An amount of ₹9,000/- is provided towards surgical treatment.

The applicant must possess a valid National Identity Card for Differently Abled Persons (UDID) and must be registered as a member in the Differently Abled Welfare Board

Scheme: Reimbursement of Expenses for Purchase of Spectacles for Differently Abled Persons
An amount of up to ₹500/- shall be reimbursed towards the cost of purchasing spectacles for differently abled persons.

The applicant must possess a valid National Identity Card for Differently Abled Persons (UDID) and must be registered as a member in the Differently Abled Welfare Board

Scheme: Air Bed (Alpha bed)
For the welfare of bedridden differently abled persons suffering from spinal cord injury, financial assistance of ₹6,000/- is provided for the purchase of air bed (Alpha bed) sheets/mattress.
Eligibility
- The applicant must be a differently abled person affected by spinal cord injury and confined to bed.
